Sponsored by ABCCM Our Circle
Monday, Oct. 21, 6:00-9:00 PM
It will be held in the Terrace Room at
Biltmore Baptist Church.

C.O.P.E. is an intense poverty simulation event.

In the words of the developers:

“The Cost of Poverty Experience™ gives people a chance to see for themselves the difficulties that low-income Americans face daily...The portrayals of real stories of families living both in generational and situational poverty go beyond the stereotype of what is seen on the news or written about in the paper. Also captured in the experience is the role that the broader community plays in their interactions with families in poverty, and how policies and systems either help or hinder progress...

We also know that this is just the first step in mobilizing volunteers, advocates, social service professionals, educators, elected officials and corporations to better understand the systemic issues of poverty and how it affects each of us, no matter what socioeconomic class we are a part of.”

We invite you to join us in this dynamic, educational event. Please follow the link below to register.

We ask for a suggested donation of $10 per person to cover our costs. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be provided.
